Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa
The winner of the architectural competition launched in February 2004 for the Rolex Learning Center is at home with ambitious ventures. Kazuyo Sejima et Ryue Nishizawa du bureau Sanaa in Tokyo have projects all over the world have completed projects in Asia, Europe and the United States. Some of their latest structures include the Design School Zollverein in Essen Germany, and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa Japan. At the end of 2007, the New Museum of Contemporary Art will be completed in New York City.
The architects are familiar with the academic world as well. They have also been invited professors at Harvard, Princeton, EPFZ and EPFL. Kazuyo Sejima currently is a professor at Keio University in Tokyo. Ryue Nishizawa holds a professor position at the Yokohama National University in Yokohama, Japan
